Milling Section

Shrijee is fully equipped to supply all cane handling equipment / preparation equipment such as cane unloader , feeder table, cane kicker, cane cutting knives, fibrizer and cane carrier with variable frequency drive system.

The sugar cane milling tandem can be supplied with 3 roller, 5 roller, 6 roller mill with planter gear drive systems. Also roller mill with planetary gear drive systems. Also included is the bagasse carrier and return bagasse carrier.

Bagasse Fired Boiler

Steam Turbine

Shrijee can supply Steam Turbines of all types such as Back Pressure, Back Pressure Extraction and Condensing cum Extraction. Turbines suitable for high pressure steam and temperature from 20ATA/340 deg.C to 110 ATA/ 510 deg.C. and capacity from 2 MW to 25 MW suitable for Cogeneration plants with Double or Triple extraction and Water cooled condenser / Air Cooled condenser as per client’s specific requirement.

Turbines and Generators with multistage gear box to achieve speed reduction suitable to Generator speed, Generators of L.T. and H.T voltages, 440V, 6.6KV, 11KV can be supplied.

Accessories include control panels such as Electronic Governor control, Auto Synchronizing system, Vibration monitor, Auto power factor correction system, Automatic voltage regulation system and HT control panels, Lub oil system, Alternator cooling system, condensate extraction system, surface condenser, relays and relief valves, cooling water recirculation system.

Steam Transformer

Steam transformer is tubular rising film/falling film evaporator designed for vapour generation from the hot condensate available from the refinery pans and surface condensers.
The steam transformer can generate required vapours for the entire standalone refinery house. Exhaust from the turbine shall be used in the steam transformer calandria and hot water will be used inside the tubes to generate vapour.
The purpose of this equipment is to supply the pure exhaust condensate to boiler without sugar contamination, to reduce the high pressure steam consumption in the refinery process house which will avoid the high colour development during the refining process.

  • Generates more vapour required for refinery house.
  • Isolates the exhaust cycle from the refinery house.
  • Avoids the contamination of exhaust condensate.

Direct Contact Heaters

Direct Contact Heater is an alternative heat exchanger to plate and tubular heaters. contact heaters

DCH will work with counter current heat exchange principle. DCH has high heat transfer co-efficient. In the DCH latent heat and part of sensible heat will be utilized for heating duty. 
DCH will work with an approach temperature of 0-2°C, whereas tubular heaters and plate heat exchangers will work with 5-7° C approach temperature.

Advantages Of DCH:

  • Counter current operation and high heat transfer co-efficient.
  • Can be run with bled vapours and saving of exhaust steam.
  • Effective utilization of the latent heat and part of the sensible heat.
  • Suitable for heating with low pressure and temperature vapours.
  • No condensate extraction system is required.
  • Low head juice pumps and less power consumption.
  • 0-2° C approach temperature.
  • Suitable for complete automation.
  • Can be operated at pressure and vacuum.

Duplex Heat Exchangers

Duplex Heat Exchangers are tubular heat exchangers to heat or cool the liquids. DHE are an assembly of multiple small heat exchangers having single or double pass. DHE shall work with high heat transfer co¬efficient. DHE are suitable for sugar industry as well as chemical and paper industry.

Advantages of DHE:

  • Liquid to liquid Counter current heat exchange.
  • High heat transfer co-efficient.
  • Can be utilized for waste heat recovery, hence steam saving of 1% on cane.
  • Suitable for heating and cooling of liquids and wide range of applications.

Syrup Clarification System

Syrup clarification is useful for producing higher quality plantation white or direct consumption sugar with lower IU colour and lower residual sulphur dioxide levels. National standards for residual sulphur dioxide and colour have been lowered to reflect the growing demand for improved quality and concerns for health risks.

Advantages:

  • Reduction of turbidity upto 90%.
  • Removal of maximum Bagacillo and suspended solid.
  • Reduction of ICU MSA colour up to 25%.
  • Reduction of viscosity of syrup and further process material.
  • Faster crystallization, higher exhaustion and less final molasses purity.

Filtrate Clarification System

Filtrate coming from vacuum filter is very low in purity, rich in gums and non-sugars. This filtrate is directed towards the mixed juice, and it will have adverse effect in processing. Thus a new system has been developed by Shrijee to clarify the filtrate in separate stream suitable to produce clear filtrate equivalent to clear juice.

Advantages:

  • Rise in boiling house recovery.
  • Rise in filtrate juice purity by 2-4 units.
  • Increase in clarification house capacity by 5-10%.
  • Improvement in performance and capacity of vacuum filter.
  • Reduction in colour.
  • Increase in clear juice transmittance 5-7%.

Short Retention Time Clarifier

To reduce the inversion losses in Clarifier, Shrijee introduced the Short Retention Time Clarifier which effectively reduces sugar losses by bringing down retention time from approximately three hours to nearby forty-five minutes for clarification of sugarcane juice. The process also facilitates better removal of non-sugar.

It is manufactured as per client's requirement in various ranges of factory capacity and the required automation is provided to achieve maximum efficiency.

  • Low retention time for juice (40-45 minutes).
  • Better settling rates because of reduced effects of turbulence and entrapped air.
  • Less risk of destruction of Sucrose and hence minimum sugar loss.

Surface Condenser

Shrijee's special design for shell and tubes type Surface Condensers are engineered and designed for cooling exhaust steam for back pressure turbine as well as for condensing type turbine. These condensers are multi-pass and high velocity shell and tubular heat exchangers. The advantage of these condensers is its ability to eliminate the mixing of cooling and condensed water. The purity and quality of both waters remain same providing zero contamination. These condensers have been widely applied in sugar and chemical processing plants, refineries, marine boilers and power and co-generation plants.

Bagacillo Tumbler

As the efficiency of the rotary vacuum filter is mainly depending upon the bagacillo which is to be supplied at adequate quantity, Shrijee has developed new equipment Bagacillo Tumbler which can supply the adequate bagacillo for the better performance of the rotary vacuum filter. Rotary bagacillo tumbler is a specially designed cylindrical rotating equipment on inclined access. At the top of the drum there is cleaning arrangement. Mill outlet bagasse will be fed to the rotary bagacillo tumbler with feed chute arrangement and the discharged bagasse of the tumbler will be given to the existing bagasse conveyor. The separated bagacillo will be collected into the bagacillo trough and fed to the bagacillo blower suction for further pneumatic conveying to the mud mixer.

Advantages of Rotary Bagacillo Tumbler:

  • Continuous and adequate supply of bagacillo.
  • Improved filterability in the existing plant.
  • Suitable for installation in the existing plant.
  • Requires minimum power consumption.
